I always start therapy by establishing a clear and shared understanding of what it is that brings you into therapy.
As well as wanting to understand you, I take a results-focused approach as a therapist.
My priority is to understand what aspects of your life are causing unhappiness and to work with you to create meaningful change.

I'm creative and an entrepreneur. Before becoming a relationship therapist & psychologist I set up and ran a highly successful business in London which I ran for 20+ years.
I'm committed to whatever I take on. As a single parent to two sons, I balanced providing financially with offering the nurture, guidance, and limits they needed to thrive
I'm interested in growth. My own relationship history has taught me valuable lessons that I apply in my current loving long-term relationship
I'm relational. I am also a daughter, sister and friend as well as human on this planet
I'm deeply curious and I read a lot
Relationships are everything because we are all relational beings (whether we like it or not!).
And yet we rarely get taught how to do relationships well.
We often learn how to guard and protect ourselves. But not how to create a really healthy, loving and intimate relationship
Why is that? ... it make no sense to me that we are so shy about asking for help with our relationships
Especially when robust research shows that the quality of lives is directly linked to the quality of our relationships.
As a relationship therapist, I see my role as helping you work out why your relational life is not as you would want it and what you can do to change and improve it
There are traumatic events. And then there are the way we are traumatised by events. Often these two things are unrelated. We can be highly traumatised by something, but also by "nothing" (such as the absence of a loving parent to help us work through something difficult).
The traumatic event may be over, but the legacy often lingers on as a reliving in our nervous system.
All trauma is relational to a greater or lesser extent. And all healing from trauma is also relational. And that is why therapy and finding a good relational therapist can be so powerful and effective
I use trauma therapies such as EMDR and somatic experiencing to help you process and metabolise the trauma you carry in your system so you no longer feel like you are reliving the same feeling over and over again.
Grief, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience. Good therapeutic support can really help to improve the symptoms of low mood, sadness, anxiety and grief.
Please get in touch to discuss your particular requirements.
All my sessions are now conducted on Zoom other than intensives which are conducted in person in either France (during the summer) or Norfolk (the rest of the year).
